- Accumulator
- A bet that combines multiple selections into one wager, with winnings rolling over from each winning selection.
- Arbitrage
- Exploiting differences in odds across bookmakers to guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap betting system that eliminates the draw outcome and gives a split handicap to each team.
- Bankroll Management
- The practice of deciding how much money to risk on each bet to protect your funds over time.
- Both Teams To Score (BTTS)
- A wager on whether each team will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, receiving a predetermined amount.
- Correct Score
- A bet predicting the exact final score of a match.
- Decimal Odds
- A way of expressing odds as a single number that includes the stake, making it easy to calculate total payout.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes in a match (e.g., win/draw or draw/lose).
- Draw No Bet
- A bet that removes the draw outcome, so you win if your chosen team wins, and get your stake back if it’s a draw.
- Edge
- The advantage a bettor believes they have over the bookmaker’s odds for a particular outcome.
- Expected Value (EV)
- The average amount you can expect to win or lose per bet if the same odds were offered many times.
- Fractional Odds
- Odds shown as a fraction, indicating how much profit you’ll make relative to your stake.
- Futures
- A bet placed on an event that will be decided in the future, such as which team will win the World Cup.
- Hedge
- Placing a second bet on the opposite outcome to lock in a profit or reduce potential loss.
- Juice (Vigorish)
- The commission that a bookmaker charges for taking a bet, usually built into the odds.
- Kelly Criterion
- A mathematical formula used to determine the optimal size of a bet based on the perceived edge.
- Live Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is in progress, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Moneyline
- A bet on which team will win the match outright, with odds expressed as a positive or negative number.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals in a match will be more (over) or less (under) than a set number.
- Parlay
- A single bet that links two or more individual wagers, all of which must win for the parlay to pay out.
- Point Spread
- A handicap given to the favorite team to level the playing field, requiring them to win by a certain margin for the bet to win.
- Same Game Parlay
- A parlay that combines multiple markets from a single match, such as goals, cards, and player performances.
- Unit Stake
- A standard amount of money used to measure bet size, often a fraction of your total bankroll.
